Sometimes this will cause the tower (unraid) to crash Windows 10 freezes after attempting to install NVIDIA drivers I'll list the problems I've been been getting below. This is all on 64-bit Windows 10 and ask for other system information if needed.I'm new to Unraid and I've been trying to install some windows 10 VMs and passthrough my graphics cards to them.
I have been stressing over this for a long time now, and would love assistance on this! Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything. I would have thought that Windows 10 starts with a NVIDIA card, but I am not entirely sure. But apparently, I need NVIDIA as a display adapter in order to download and install NVIDIA Driver. I have heard from a couple of sources, including Stack Overflow, that AMD Radeon is generally incompatible with a NVIDIA card (of course, not sure if this is true). When I looked at my device manager, I realized that I did not have an NVIDIA card as a display adapter, as shown below: So I did my best to troubleshoot this issue, reverting to a lot of online resources. However, after installing and running the installation wizard, I get a screen that says the installer cannot continue: On the webpage for NVIDIA Drivers, there are different boxes for options such as OS (Windows 10 64 bit in my case) and product. I have already installed Tensorflow 2.12, but am trying to install NVIDIA Drivers. troubleshooting, information, etc.), particularly this tutorial Keras GPU Installation, which outlines the necessary installation procedure. The goal is to be able to use Keras on a single GPU and run tf.config.list_physical_devices('GPU') on jupyter notebook to check if the GPU is available.
